What is a miracle?

Sometimes we only see miracles as the big events that shape our lives in noticeable ways for the better. Miracles are for more then that. Each breath we take is proof of an ongoing miracle. When we are called to take our last breath and be brought into eternity with our Creator, that too is a miracle. When we are sealed with His Holy Spirit it is and is because of miracles.

Who would have thought as our Savior laid physically dead for 3 days that a miracle was in our midst? Who would have imagined walking up to the tomb only to be greeted by our risen Savior?

In the midst of our greatest trials and pain we are experiencing perhaps the greatest miracles of our lives. In these times we are nothing more then an encased pile of goop – a chrysalis. We are in pain, we are suffering and still this is a miracle. Because what we can not see is that He is knitting us together for His glory. We have been made to have no form so that we can be transformed.

His glory always brings about what is best for us. The very nature of God is good, loving and just. These struggles rid us of the parts of ourselves that keep us from the best that God has for us.

Do we have the faith and trust to know that God is on our side? Do we believe that no matter what we are experiencing it is for our good? Do we realize the very fact that we are here is proof of His love for us? Even if you are thrown into a situation through no fault of your own God will utilize it for your good. He is calling you to draw closer to Him and to lead you into victory and new life.

“Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.” Hebrews 11:1
