A friend of mine shared with me this story of a lion and a bunny. I did a little Biblical research and added to it. This short study is the condensed version of what I found.
The adversary is a lion. How does a lion attack?
He roars and startles the prey. He has to do this because the lion is slow, and startling the prey gives him time to catch him. But while he is roaring you have time to act. Don’t just stand there….pray for guidance and follow it.
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Jeremiah 4:7 The lion is come up from his thicket, and the destroyer of the Gentiles is on his way;
1 Samuel 17:37 David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee.
2 Timothy 4:17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
We have freedom for all attacks of the adversary. When we notice the attack coming on…. it is just the roar of the lion. Hope is not lost. We have the opportunity to pray for guidance and follow through with God’s Will.
James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
I thank God for victory in all your lives!
